Katniss as a Barbie Doll
I’m sorry, but I find Barbie to be an extremely positive role model and brand for young girls that teaches them they can do anything they set their sights on achieving. With that, I think Katniss Everdeen is an excellent candidate for a Barbie. She’s a strong young woman who exemplifies independence, courage and determination. Why would anyone not want her to be created for girls to play with and look up to under a brand the wants to exemplify those qualities? I think getting upset over a doll is just ridiculous. This fandom needs to stop taking everything so personal. Everyone always needs to point out the negative about something that is being done, and that way of thinking is just not what these books are about.
